Midleton, located approximately 20km east of Cork city has a population within a ten minute drive of approximately 20,000, rising to 115,000 within a 20 minute drive. It is a thriving satellite town situated within easy commuting distance of Cork City over a well developed dual carriageway road network.

Midleton’s main street is a focal point for the town and is approximately 500m in length. It comprises a mix of uses including retail, office residential, civic, education, leisure and other uses. Midleton is a major growth centre and the town has expanded considerably over the last 5 years. The town is an important retail and service centre serving a large hinterland.

The opening of the Cork to Midleton railway in 2008 will further enhance the economic growth of the town.
